Demi Lovato Emotional Interview

This is an emotional interview between ABC news and Demi Lovato.

The interview starts if with ABC news introducing Demi Lovato and thanking her for coming to the interview which she ten responds to by saying
"thanks for having me i love being here".
This straight away tells us as an audience then Demi and ABC news already have a strong relationship and that she is genially glad to be there.
After greeting one another ABC news begin to say
"Our heart goes out to you, your father passed away during the weekend"
From this we instantly know what type of interview this is which is an emotional interview. Even though the interview hasnt even started our emotions are instantly triggered knowing a young girl has just lost her farther and we instantly feel sympathy for her. As the camera cuts to Demi we can instantly see from her body language that this is a hard topic for her to talk about and that shes trying to be strong. Once again this pulls on the viewers heart strings causing them to feel emotion towards the interview.
ABC news also asks her how shes doing which is a straight forward open but direct question. This then allows Demi to open up about her Fathers death and how shes coping. By asking how she was this creates a bond between the pair due to the fact Demi will feel wanted and cared about knowing people want to know how she feels. ABC news then give her compliments telling her shes coping really well and decide to use a suggestive question by saying
"And your doing something? you have an announcement"
This pushes Demi into answering that question and only that question which gets straight to the point but it also ties in with the deah of her farther. We find out that Demis setting up a charity in order of mental illness where she pays for one persons treatment at a time. This once again makes us feel sympathetic towards Demi because shes setting up a charity which helps people get the treatment they need. Even though this interview is an emotional one at some points such as this it uses the opportunity to promote Demi and the things shes doing.
Unlike other interview's this interview isn't very chatty but instead very slow paced with both Demi and ABC news using very low soft voices enhancing the fact how upset Demi is about the sitiuation. Also due to the fact that ABC news knew about Demi announcement shows that they have done their research allowing Demi to feel appreciated amongst these people know that people do care about what she does.
The interview doesnt consist many questions which is due to the fact the ABC news want Demi to talk about her farthers death in detail allowing her fans to realise what shes going trough. Due to Demi just losing her father also adds to the fact that the interview is alot more slow paced and calmer than other interviews. At the same time ABC news dont want to pressure Demi into answering questions this so after shes lost a family member.

Over all I think the interviews shot because Demi's just lost a family member so te interviewers want to give her some space and dont want to overpower her with a bunch of questions. The interview is very emotional due to the fact the viewers can connect with Demi because they can feeel her emotion through her voice and the way shes closes herself in. This is shown by the way shes sitting wich is like i said very closed in. At then end of the interview a promotional aspect arises when then they talk about Demis charity work which once again makes her more popular amoungst her friends.

Ariana Grande Promotional Interview

 

This is an interview with the singer Ariana Grande about her new album Yours Truely.
The interveiw starts of with Bridget Daily introducing herself and Ariana Grande allowing the viewers to realise who this person is. Bridget also thats Ariana from attending which is a great way to greet the interviewee making them feel welcomed and appreciated. The interview is then followed up with a open question which allows Ariana to expaned on her answer which give us as a viewer more detail about the topic being discussed which in this case is her new album. Bridget the beins to describe the type of people Ariana has collaberated with on the album showing the viewers and Aiana that shes done her research which once again creates a good bond between her and Ariana. Ariana will feel appreciated knowing that Bridget has done her research about the album due to the fact shes showing a general intrest in the album itself. Bridget then follows up by giving her opinion saying she really likes who's featured on the album. This once again creates a good relationship between the two. A open question is then used to exapnd on the subject e.g. "who was your favourite artist to work with". This then allows Ariana to give away more information about herself and the album. Also Ariana is asked to give her opinion about something which shows Bridget's intrested in the topic.
Bridget uses alot of silent gaps to express her love for the album such as when se says
"its really one of those beautiful balleds, I feel like it is the one on the album that has so many different genres going on. I love it"
Ariana the responds saying thank you showing thats shes very flattered with the compliment that Bridgets just given her. For Bridget to give her opinion Arianas' fans can then relate and connect to the interview due to the fact their opinion is also being shared if they love the album also.
Alot of questions Bridget asks she expands on such as shell give some detail about the next topic and then lead on with a question. An example of this si when Bridget goes
"Tour wise I know youve got to take a little break after this crazy week but are you thinking about what your going to be doing when you hit the road?"
I think Bridget used this as a chance to ask a open question to give the fans more information about if Ariana's thinking about doing a world tour. This is one of the most important questions asked due to the fact this could also be a chance to promote a upcoming tour if Ariana decides to do one.

The interview has a very good structure from the start such as a introduction to the singer, a middle where the main and most important questions are asked a ending where a summary question is then asked.
The body language between Ariana and Bridget is very still showing that they're comfortable with one another and the topic being discussed. Bridget also keeps eye contact unlike Ariana which could suggest that Ariana is ver shy and nervous about the interview which could relflect her personality.

From the very first question asked we instantly know that this is an promotional interview used to promote Ariana's new album.

Captain America Entertainment interview

 



Chris Evans interview for Captian America

 

 

 

In this interview Jake Hamilton interviews Chris Evans on his up coming role Captain America. The interview starts of with Jake introducing us to the main character in the film Stephen rogers who Chris Evans plays. He then leads into an open question which allows Chris to explain his detail while at the same time ravelling some of his personal life. The whole interview is very light hearted but it's also used to entertain the viewers. Also at the beginning of the video Jake begins off by saying "what I love about this movie" which also shows that his done his research and that hes watched the movie. By giving his opinion crates a good relationship between him and Chris Evans due to the fact Chris would appreciate someone watching his film and giving him positive feedback. At the beginning of the interview Chirs begins to tell us that people were concerned for his health die to the fact he had to tone up and put on weight to do this. Jake then uses this to his advantage and uses a leading and direct question by saying

"talking about that decision though I would think for every reason there would be to take this role there could be two or three reason you wouldn't want to take this role?"

Chirs then answers with a straight answer "exactly".  This shows Chris agrees with what Jakes just said which once again puts both of them on positive terms with one another.

 

 Eye contact is kept all the way through the interview to show that Jake has a general interest in the topic. As the interview Carry's on Jake begins to use leading questions which Chris will then expand on for example Jake says "what where some of the big reasons that made you apprehensive about taking it". This type of questions leads the interviewee answer in a certain type of way and give a certain type of answer depending on whats been asked. Throughout the interview Jake always gives his opinion on the film proving that hes watched the film and making sure people knew what he thought. By giving his opinion on the film and discussing some topics that happen in the film make the interview more promotional. By promoting the film it attracts a bigger audience who will want to see they film for themselves. Also in the interview it includes clips from the film which also another way the interview promotes the film. By showing clips from the film will catch peoples attention and therefore persuade them to go and watch it if they haven't already. Jake then begins to talk about another film that Chris stars in which is the avengers. He begins to discuss other characters that are included in the Avengers which once again shows that hes done his research creating a bigger bond with Chris Evans. From the interview we can also tell that Chris is a genuin nice guy due to the fact hes very chatty and not closed in. The way Chris is sat also tells us alot about his personality and the interview hes in. His body language is very open by the way hes sitting, which as we can see is very far back in his chair wit his arms wide open. This also proves that hes comfortable with the interview and the questions being asked.

 

The interview is also very chatty due to the fact Jake and Chris do share a few jokes making the interview abit more relaxed and more enjoyable to watch due to the fact it doesn't seem like Jake's reading of a script. The interview then ends with Jake asking Chris if theres anyone who people should look up to like people look up to Captain America.

Overall the interview is very well structured with a start middle and end. However the interview is very light hearted while at the same time very informative about the film. The presentation of the interview and the words used are very chatty making it very entertaining to watch.

 

Overall even though I said the interview's for entertainment purposes I also think a promotional aspect to the interview is given. This is show what bits of the moive are show wich like I said tease people making them want to go and see the movie. The promotional aspect of the interview runs all te way through the interview but at the same time is very entetaining to watch with how chatt Jake and Chris are. The way they joke with one another also adds to the entertainment aspect.
